How much does dog crate furniture cost in 2026?

Updated October 2026 · 3 min read · by CrateHaven

The short answerIn 2026, furniture-style dog crates cost about $66-120 up to 33 in wide, $120-153 at 34-43 in, and $137-200 at 43-56 in; a 71 in double for two dogs runs $150-250. Your dog's size sets the band, so measure the dog first and compare prices only within that band.

Why two crates of the same size differ by $50 or more

Is a 48 in furniture crate worth it?

Choose 43-48 in for one dog of 45-80 lb, or for two smaller dogs with a divider. If you only need containment, a plain metal 48 in crate is cheaper. You pay the furniture premium for a crate that lives in the living room and does a second job as a table.

Check the height as well as the width. Some double crates are low and long: our 47.2 in double is 25.5 in tall, which suits two small or medium dogs better than one tall dog.

Measure before you compare prices

Listings advertise the outside width, but the dog uses the inside. On our crates the inside is about 2 in narrower than the outside: the 38.6 in Rolling Den is 36.6 in wide inside, and the 27.2 in Mini is 25.2 in. Measure the dog from nose to base of tail while standing, add 2-4 in, and use our dog crate furniture size guide to match the size.
